Our Sunday School and Wednesday evening programs are preparing for a new beginning on Sunday September 7th at both of our church campuses and on Wednesday September 10th at our Bloomington campus. Participation in this year's Sunday school and Wednesday Pre-Confirmation and Confirmation preparation classes require pre-registration. Please do not delay. Register your children as soon as possible. Registration forms are available in the entry way of both church campuses, or by clicking Sunday School Registration to print.
Parents and friends, we need your help! The success of our Sunday and Wednesday School programs are totally dependent on the availability of teachers, teacher assistants and substitute teachers. Lesson plans, teacher guides and all student material is provided. Teachers are provided regular opportunities to meet with our pastors and other teachers for assistance in interpretation, planning and delivery of your class. We encourage team-teaching with team members in sufficient numbers to provide assistance in planning, support in delivery as well as time off as needed.
Our program provides age appropriate Bible study for all children. The ages included and the class locations are provided below. Most classes will include an in-depth study and discussion of the particular Bible passages being studied on that day, crafts that are intended to further enforce those teachings and for some ages the classes will also include music. All Sunday and Wednesday School students are invited and encouraged to participate in the annual Sunday School Christmas Program presented during Sunday worship services at both church locations.
Bloomington Campus
Our Sunday School provides Bible studies for infant children through the 4th grade at the same time Sunday Adult Bible Study is offered at Bloomington Lutheran Church. These Sunday educational opportunities for everyone, adults and children, are held between the Sunday Worship services at 9:10 a.m. These classes include:
- Early Childhood (birth to 2 years) with a parent
- Preschool (ages 3 & 4)
- Children in kindergarten through the 4th grade
Children in the 5th through 8th grades will also have classroom time on Wednesday evening for pre-Confirmation and Confirmation preparation classes. The Wednesday classes are held at Bloomington from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. A hot meal will be served during class for $3.00 per student or students may bring their own box lunch.
Living Hope Campus
Bible Hour at Living Hope will begin on Sunday September 7th and every Sunday thereafter from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. During this time we grow in Christ by studying His word together in age-specific groups. For children from age three through 4th grade, our Sunday School program focuses on Bible stories, praise-singing and prayer. Our youth Sunday School classes are held in parallel to the Adult Bible class which focuses on books of the Bible, topics that affect Christians, and key teachings of Scripture.
Caribou Sunday's for Senior High Students will begin October 12th. Hang out with other students and our youth director over "caffeinated goodness" and discuss relevant topics. Caribou Sunday's take place in the Living Hope Commons on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month. Be there 9am sharp!
